Help Five Sisters Zoo provide a home for Yampil the bear!
Since 2012 Five Sisters Zoo has been proud to work with rescued brown bears. Now we are preparing to welcome Scotland’s only Asiatic Black bear. Named after the village he was rescued from in Ukraine, Yampil has been through a lot. Heavy shelling destroyed much of his previous home and when he was rescued, he is believed to have been one of the only animals left alive.
On the 12th of January 2024 at 0800 Yampil arrived at Five Sisters Zoo! Currently, living in a temporary habitat at the zoo work has started on a new purpose built habitat. You can still help!
